Job Responsibility:
LOA Coverage: Step in as a trusted team member to maintain accounting operations and ensure business continuity during team member absences
Software Implementation Support: Assist clients during transitions to new accounting or ERP systems, providing general ledger expertise, system testing, and data migration support
Backlog Clean-Up: Evaluate and organize outstanding financial records, reconcile accounts, clear discrepancies, and bring clients up-to-date on their critical accounting tasks
Special Projects: Collaborate with client teams on a variety of unique initiatives, such as audit preparation, process improvement projects, acquisitions, and reporting enhancements
Reconciliations and Month-End Close: Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and month-end processes to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reports
Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure clients adhere to best practices and regulatory requirements, identifying areas for improved efficiencies and controls
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2+ years of experience in accounting, ideally in public accounting, corporate accounting, or consulting roles
Strong technical accounting skills, with a focus on general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics
experience with ERP implementations is a plus
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data management)
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy
Exceptional communication skills to effectively work with diverse teams across clients and industries
Ability to adapt to new environments, systems, and processes quickly and effectively
