Job Description:

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Fresno, California. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As a Staff Accountant, you will handle a variety of tasks from processing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to managing Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger operations.

Job Responsibility:

Efficiently process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Conduct regular Bank Reconciliations
Maintain and manage the General Ledger
Prepare and record Journal Entries
Conduct the Month End Close process in a timely manner
Efficiently operate QuickBooks for various accounting tasks
Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Work with Yardi for property management accounting needs

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
Demonstrated experience as a Staff Accountant, ideally within the Real Estate & Property industry
Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations
Knowledge of General Ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes
Ability to prepare and record Journal Entries
Familiarity with financial accounting statements
Expertise in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, preferably QuickBooks and Yardi
Strong attention to detail oriented and good analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to have:

Certification such as CPA is a plus
