Job Description:

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This position requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, have excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to work collaboratively with other departments.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end closing
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Prepare account reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation
  • Perform monthly and quarterly accruals and adjustments
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries
  • Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations, tax laws, and company policies
  • Maintain and improve accounting procedures and internal controls
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on general ledger, financial reporting, or corporate accounting
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams
  • CPA or CPA candidate status is a plus but not required
