Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the retail industry, based in Passaic County, New Jersey, United States. The chosen candidate will be responsible for handling various accounting duties, maintaining accuracy and efficiency in their work. Strong opportunity for growth and exposure to working with senior level management.

Job Responsibility:

Monthly reoccurring journal entries
Maintaining trial balances
Balance sheet reconciliations
Analysis of parts of the P&L
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of journal entries and general ledger operations
Support the Senior Accountants and Accounting Manager as needed
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial transparency
Conduct month-end close activities with precision
Work closely with the FP&A team
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with sensitive company information

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role
Strong Excel skills
Familiarity with creating and posting Journal Entries
Experience in executing Month End Close processes
Proficiency in SAP accounting software
Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
Strong organizational and planning abilities
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
