Job Description:

As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for the full cycle of accounting for assigned project books, including handling accounts payable and receivable transactions, maintaining project ledgers, and ensuring the accuracy of all financial records. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Job Responsibility:

Manage the full accounting cycle for assigned projects, which includes handling both accounts payable and receivable transactions
Maintain the integrity and accuracy of project ledgers
Regularly prepare, review, and disseminate various project reports
Understand and review financial statements, owner contracts, and subcontracts
Identify and communicate any budget variances and potential financial risks
Provide ad-hoc reporting to project teams, departments, and management as required
Understand and review the flow of transactions through general ledger accounts
Perform daily reconciliations of cash and other accounting duties as needed

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required
Proven experience in the role of a Staff Accountant or similar
Advanced knowledge and experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations
Demonstrated experience in handling General Ledger
Expertise in preparing and reviewing Journal Entries
Experience with Month End Close procedures
Familiarity with NetSuite and QuickBooks accounting software
Proven track record in Project Accounting
Experience in Real Estate Project Accounting is a plus
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong organizational and communication skills
