Job Description:

The Staff Accountant will join the finance team of a residential homebuilder in Norcross, assisting in financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and annual audits. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software.

Job Responsibility:

Assist in preparing financial statements
Support the maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger
Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes
Support payroll processing
Provide assistance during annual audits
Help analyze costs and expenses
Perform basic financial and variance analysis
Contribute to identifying areas for process improvement
Utilize accounting software for data management and financial reporting

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
1+ years of relevant accounting experience
Familiarity with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Nice to have:

Experience in the construction industry
