Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Houston, Texas near the Jersey Village area. As a Staff Accountant, your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities, including ensuring the accuracy of financial data, managing accounts, and assisting in internal audits.

Job Responsibility:

Accurately processing customer credit applications
Keeping precise customer credit records
Addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues
Monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions
Handling both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Assisting in the preparation of financial statements through data analysis
Utilizing advanced Excel functions for data analysis and reporting
Conducting bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and company records
Preparing and posting journal entries as part of the month-end close process
Maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations through participation in internal audits

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Staff Accountant
Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processing
Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) management
Familiarity with Bank Reconciliation procedures
Ability to maintain and manage General Ledger
Experience in Journal Entries preparation
Expertise in Month End Close procedures
Tech savvy
