Job Description:

We are searching for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will be involved in a range of accounting duties, including cash reconciliation, prepaid expense accounting, fixed assets, and month-end accounting tasks. You will also work closely with the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams, playing a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of financial statements.

Job Responsibility:

Handle daily bank reconciliations and manage fixed asset continuity schedules
Conduct reconciliations and analyses of the general ledger and individual accounts
Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of the general ledger
Collaborate with other departments to address issues and support business objectives
Prepare data for cash flow forecasts and record depreciation
Provide support for the accounts payable and receivable teams
Assist in creating financial statements and reports
Aid in audit requests related to Accounts Receivable balances and client payments
Reconcile intercompany Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable balances monthly
Complete ad hoc requests as required

Requirements:

Possesses knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable (AP)
Demonstrates competency in Accounts Receivable (AR)
Has experience with Bank Reconciliations
Proficient in managing the General Ledger
Capable of processing Journal Entries
Has experience in Month End Close procedures
Proficient in using NetSuite software
Familiarity with Oracle financial software
Experience with QuickBooks software
Knowledge and experience in using SAP software
