Job Description:

Growing consulting firm is looking for a Staff Accountant to add to their organization. This is a newly created role due to growth.

Job Responsibility:

Preparing financial statements and reporting with accuracy and attention to detail
Performing general ledger reconciliation
Conducting month-end and year-end close procedures
Performing analysis and forecasting as needed
Maintaining and updating financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and readily available

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Lack of a degree can be compensated with a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role
Knowledge of QuickBooks Online or Desktop
Strong computer skills with knowledge in Microsoft Excel
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity
Good time-management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)
Experience with Bank Reconciliations
Knowledge of General Ledger operations
Ability to handle Journal Entries
Experience with Month End Close activities
QuickBooks software proficiency
Experience with Quickbooks Online

Nice to have:

Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)
Experience with Bank Reconciliations
Knowledge of General Ledger operations
