Job Description:

The Staff Accountant will cover various accounting tasks including period-end close processes, reconciliations, variance analysis, and preparing reports for external departments.

Job Responsibility:

Assist with the period-end close process by reviewing and completing assigned period-end functions while also performing reconciliations and maintaining documentation related to balance sheet accounts
Perform period over period and year over year variance analysis for expense accounts
Reconcile various balance sheet accounts on a periodic/quarterly basis
Prepare period end journal entries
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
Prepare reports for external departments
Perform other work-related job duties as required

Requirements:

CPA an added plus
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
2 years accounting experience preferred not required

Nice to have:

CPA
