Job Description:

The Staff Engineer - iOS will work on CVS's flagship Shopping and Pharmacy apps. Responsibilities include advancing architecture, mentoring team members, improving CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating across cross-functional teams. Preferred experience includes TDD, GraphQL, BFF, Reactive Programming, and modularized app build systems.

Job Responsibility:

Advance the architecture and Mobile Product
Work with cross-functional teams to deliver great user experiences
Partner with Apps Platform Engineers, Product Managers, Engineering Managers and Feature Team Engineers
Develop iOS code and iterate features
Mentor and guide team members regularly
Improve and maintain the mobile apps CI and CD infrastructure and pipelines
Drive solutions to reduce cost and time to market
Be responsible for end-to-end application delivery
Monitor application health and KPIs
Support triage of production issues
Troubleshoot complex data, features, service, and platform issues
Advocate for security best practices
Provide technical guidance and mentoring in software design and development

Requirements:

7+ years of Software development experience with at least 7+ years in designing/developing iOS Mobile applications
5+ years of experience with modern iOS development frameworks such as SwiftUI
3+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams such as design, product, data teams to deliver great user experiences
3+ years of experience in influencing large organizations on best practices in Mobile iOS development
3+ years of accessibility experience
Telemetry and observability experience beyond Firebase

Nice to have:

Strong desire to build in test from the start with TDD development experience
Continuous delivery in mobile, code review, static analysis, continuous integration, automation and functional testing (using XCUI and Snapshot)
Experience in handling multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
BFF (Backend for FrontEnd) and GraphQL
Expertise in iOS tools, frameworks and Reactive Programming and building Design Systems libraries
Integrating with third party frameworks, tools, and SDKs
Experience with authenticated session using OAuth and authenticated tokens
Experience with build systems on highly modularized apps (XCode Cloud, CircleCI)
Static and dynamic analyzers (lint, Custom Rules)
Significant contributions of released Customer facing applications on the Apple store
