Job Description:

Staff Pharmacists at CVS Health act as role models and are responsible for leading pharmacy teams to provide safe, accurate, and compassionate care for patients. Responsibilities include prescription fulfillment, inventory management, coaching pharmacy team members, and delivering clinical care services. The role requires flexibility, technical skills, and adherence to federal and state regulations.

Job Responsibility:

Living CVS Health's purpose by managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Assuming Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when needed
Strengthening pharmacy performance measures through coaching
Supporting prescription fulfillment and pharmacy workflow procedures
Delivering compassionate care and collaborating with patients’ total healthcare team
Proactively offering immunizations and coaching pharmacy team members
Managing pharmacy inventory and cold chain products
Ensuring pharmacy operations comply with Board of Pharmacy regulations
Writing pharmacy schedule if directed
Maintaining clinical and technical skills for evolving industry
Delivering clinical care services such as testing and prescribing
Complying with federal and state laws, CVS policies, and ethical principles
Escalating issues to Pharmacy Manager for resolution.

Requirements:

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Regular and predictable attendance including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Attention and focus abilities including confirming prescription information and label accuracy
Customer service and team orientation skills
Communication skills including active listening
Mathematical reasoning skills
Issue resolution abilities
Physical demands including mobility, lifting, reaching overhead, fine finger movements, and visual acuity
Express or exchange ideas through spoken word
Ability to receive detailed oral communication
Preferred qualifications include 1-2 years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings
Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require.
