Job Description:

As a Staff Pharmacist at CVS Health, you will play a critical role in delivering healthcare services with a focus on improving patient health, coaching pharmacy staff, and ensuring operational excellence. You will work closely with the Pharmacy Manager to manage operations, oversee compliance, and contribute to creating a positive patient experience.

Job Responsibility:

Helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Taking direction and overseeing pharmacy operations during bench shifts
Assuming Pharmacy Manager’s duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty
Supporting prescription fulfillment and following pharmacy workflow procedures
Contributing to positive patient experiences through compassionate care
Proactively offering and delivering immunizations
Supporting inventory management and following best practices
Ensuring compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Writing the pharmacy schedule if directed
Expanding clinical and technical skills and maintaining company trainings
Delivering clinical care such as COVID/Flu testing and prescribing services
Complying with federal and state laws and ethical principles
Supporting patient safety and recordkeeping

Requirements:

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list

Nice to have:

1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require
