Job Description:

The Staff Pharmacist at CVS Health plays a critical role in managing and delivering health care services to ensure patient safety and satisfaction. The role involves overseeing pharmacy operations, coaching team members, providing immunizations, and ensuring compliance with regulations. It emphasizes patient care and maintaining clinical expertise while delivering CVS Health's purpose of making health care more personal, convenient, and affordable.

Job Responsibility:

Managing and improving patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Overseeing the pharmacy as a proxy for the Pharmacy Manager
Ensuring pharmacy operations are compliant with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Strengthening pharmacy performance measures through coaching and follow-up of team members
Ensuring safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Supporting effective inventory management
Delivering immunizations and supporting the pharmacy team in learning to immunize
Maintaining clinical and technical skills for evolving industry needs
Supporting access to care through clinical services such as testing and prescribing

Requirements:

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list

Nice to have:

1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require
