Job Description:

The Staff Pharmacist at CVS Health is responsible for delivering patient care by safely and appropriately dispensing medications, providing counseling, and improving overall patient health. The role involves overseeing pharmacy operations, managing schedules, ensuring compliance with state pharmacy regulations, and expanding clinical skills to provide holistic care.

Job Responsibility:

Helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Overseeing the pharmacy as a proxy for the Pharmacy Manager
Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contributing to positive patient experiences with empathy and genuine care
Offering and delivering immunizations to patients
Managing pharmacy inventory
Ensuring operations are compliant with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Expanding clinical and technical skills
Supporting pharmacist-delivered clinical care such as testing and prescribing services

Requirements:

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Attention to detail and focus
Customer service and team orientation
Ability to use math to solve problems such as determining total number of tablets to dispense or calculating day’s supply
Physical ability to lift, scan, and bag items, and remain upright for extended periods of time

Nice to have:

1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require
