Job Description:

As a Staff Pharmacist at CVS Health, you play a critical role in delivering enhanced health care services through safe prescription fulfillment, patient counseling, immunizations, and inventory management while ensuring compliance with state Pharmacy Board regulations and other ethical practices.

Job Responsibility:

Managing and improving patient health through dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Acting as proxy for Pharmacy Manager during bench shifts
Overseeing pharmacy operations and workflow procedures
Delivering positive patient experiences by showing empathy and resolving medication issues
Proactively administering immunizations
Ensuring compliance with inventory best practices
Partnering with Pharmacy Manager to ensure adherence to Board of Pharmacy regulations
Maintaining clinical and technical skills through training and continuous education
Delivering pharmacist clinical care services where permissible.

Requirements:

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Attention and Focus
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Customer Service and Team Orientation
Communication Skills
Mathematical Reasoning
Issue Resolution
Physical Demands: Ability to lift, scan, reach overhead, and perform repetitive movements
Close visual acuity for reading and inspection
Familiarity with laws, regulations and professional standards.

Nice to have:

1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require.
