Job Description:

The Staff Pharmacist plays a critical role in pharmacy operations at CVS Health by dispensing medications, managing pharmacy team performance, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering excellent patient care. Responsibilities include supporting the Pharmacy Manager, maintaining safety guardrails, conducting immunizations, writing schedules, managing inventory, and providing clinical care when applicable. Job Responsibility:

Dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Managing pharmacy workflow procedures
Overseeing pharmacy operations during bench shifts
Strengthening pharmacy performance measures
Providing feedback about pharmacy team performance
Positive patient interactions and compassionate care
Managing pharmacy inventory
Complying with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Writing the pharmacy schedule
Delivering clinical pharmacist care
Compliance with laws and professional standards.

Requirements:

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Attention to detail and focus abilities
Customer service and team orientation skills
Effective communication skills
Mathematical reasoning abilities
Ability to resolve issues
Physical demands including mobility, lifting up to 20 lbs, and visual acuity tasks
Compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and CVS policies.

Nice to have:

1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require.
