Staff Pharmacists cultivate a culture of excellence in their pharmacy by acting as role models and delivering compassionate care to patients. Responsibilities include overseeing pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, supporting safe prescription fulfillment, and delivering clinical services.
Job Responsibility:
Helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Taking direction from the Pharmacy Manager and overseeing the pharmacy as their proxy during bench shifts
Strengthening pharmacy performance measures through coaching and feedback
Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contributing to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy and resolving insurance issues
Delivering immunizations and supporting pharmacy technicians
Managing pharmacy inventory and protecting cold chain products
Ensuring compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Writing pharmacy schedules
Expanding clinical skills to support evolving patient needs
Delivering clinical care such as testing and prescribing services
Complying with federal and state laws, professional standards, and ethical principles.
Requirements:
Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to use basic math for solving problems
Identifying challenging patient or colleague interactions and resolving effectively
Physical capability to lift and move objects up to 20 lbs
Close visual acuity for computer terminal and reading tasks.
Nice to have:
1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require.
