The Staff Pharmacist at CVS Health is responsible for supporting the management, oversight, and operations of the pharmacy, ensuring compliance, delivering quality care to patients, and collaborating effectively with the pharmacy team.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and improve patient health through dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Support Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing the pharmacy team
Oversee pharmacy operations
Strengthen pharmacy performance through coaching and feedback
Safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Positive patient experiences through compassionate care
Offer and deliver immunizations
Effective pharmacy inventory management
Ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Flexible scheduling and support team dynamic
Maintain clinical and technical skills through training
Improve patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care
Comply with federal and state laws and regulations
Comply with CVS Health policies and procedures
Requirements:
Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs
Actively look for ways to help people
Notice and understand patients’ reactions, and respond appropriately
Use and understand verbal and written communication
Utilize active listening
Ability to use math to solve problems
Identifying challenging patient or colleague interactions
Physical demands such as mobility and lifting items
Close visual acuity
Compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles
Nice to have:
1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require
