Job Description:

The Value Stream Leader gives support to the manager in coordinating the overall performance including safety, quality, delivery, efficiency and inventory management. The position may help in the supervision of all value stream functions and employees including the Production Supervisor, Planner/Buyer, Manufacturing Engineer and production team associates. This position helps the Value Stream Manager ensure production, product scheduling, planning, materials, sourcing, project implementation and logistics functions are effective in enabling the value stream to achieve customer focused and financial goals and is the Lean manufacturing resource responsible for eliminating waste and improving flow throughout the value stream.

Job Responsibility:

Work with teams and use Lean tools to make continuous improvements and build a motivated work environment to support Lean objectives
Provide motivational leadership and communication to all team associates to ensure understanding and attainment of SQDCI performance objectives
Employ, drive and promote understanding of Lean tools and principles to ensure achievement of business objectives and a culture of continuous improvement
Develop world-class operations organization by providing training, coaching and mentoring as appropriate

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or engineering, supply chain management, manufacturing or equivalent required
Desirable experience Supply chain experience in a high volume progressive manufacturing facility with major emphasis on purchasing and planning
Knowledge of material planning system requirements (MRP / ERP)
Proficient in inventory management
Bilingual: Intermediate English oral and written communication
