As a Supervisor, Market Planning, you'll play a pivotal role in the operations of Market Planners for the USA region, specifically supporting the MPT segment. You will influence key decisions on supply exceptions within the region and lead communications between various teams including commercial, customer support, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Network Planners, Demand Planners, and fulfillment teams. Your efforts will be crucial in bridging gaps between inventory and customer demand, ensuring a seamless and efficient supply chain. Job Responsibility:
Participate and influence during supply review meetings: identifying business-critical issues, facilitating discussions, and making decisions to support goals such as demand and supply balance, consensus demand forecasting (FCST), inventory management, and service level optimization
Be accountable for efficient inventory management by minimizing excess and obsolete inventory through strategic product cycle management, including new product launches, phase-ins/phase-outs, and sourcing changes
Identify and implement continuous improvements to improve inventory turns, increase service levels, improve profitability, and support dynamic changes in market conditions and supply
Develop and own the inventory plan and execution for the market. Drive inventory optimization opportunities through analysis and deployment, and report on inventory variances
Own and develop the communication strategy using standard tools and processes to align with the collaborative team. Communicate mid-cycle Master Production Schedule (MPS) adjustments, Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) parameters, and proactively resolve supply issues with Coordinated Supply Chain (CSC) and collaborative collaborators
Understand, resolve, and communicate low cover products, and define regional or segment plans to manage associated risks
Lead back-order risk discussions with ISC and communicate effectively with commercial teams to ensure transparency and proactive mitigation of potential issues
Collaborate with collaborators, customers, partners, and team members on strategic stock build planning for the region. Consider factors like import license registration, M&A, and supply issues to take a broad approach
Facilitate discussions about exception-based planning to maintain targeted inventory levels, prevent stock-outs, and balance financial impacts
Collaborate and proactively communicate to drive a consensus approach for replenishment plans and exception-based reporting. Make recommendations on actions needed to meet both actual and forecasted demand
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree preferred, with a minimum of 6 years of related experience in supply chain management, including warehousing, distribution, logistics, transportation, or materials planning
Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and critical thinking abilities
Outstanding managerial, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and negotiating abilities, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Attitude geared towards achieving results with the ability to work autonomously and evaluate the effects of short-term decisions on long-term business goals
