Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Petersburg, Virginia. As a key player in our team, you will be responsible for managing relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of quality products. Your role will involve a variety of tasks, including maintaining inventory control, processing requisitions, and collaborating with various departments.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee a network of vendors to guarantee punctual delivery of high-quality products
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating optimal terms, pricing, and delivery schedules
  • Handle purchase orders and maintain inventory control, ensuring stock levels are adequate and overstock or stock out conditions are minimized
  • Coordinate the transportation of goods and track orders to the point of delivery
  • Work closely with warehouse teams to expedite the receiving and check-in of goods and materials
  • Evaluate the quality of received stock and report any discrepancies to suppliers and management
  • Work closely with Merchandising, Sales, and Engineering on sales events, new items, product availability, and quality-related issues
  • Investigate and assess potential new sources of supply, onboarding new suppliers as necessary
  • Handle requisitions and keep management updated on the status of orders

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in 3M, a comprehensive suite for supply chain management
  • Solid understanding and experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems
  • Familiarity with Eaton's supply chain management tools and practices
  • Expertise in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), a critical component for supply chain management
  • Experience with ERP Solutions for optimizing supply chain processes
  • Proficiency in using About Time, a software for managing supply chain processes
  • Excellent customer service skills, crucial for managing supplier relationships
  • Ability to create and present KPI (Key Performance Indicators) reports
  • Strong understanding of logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within supply chain management
