Job Description:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team, providing specialist care to children with complex needs in Brecon and across South Wales. This role includes flexible shift patterns tailored to your preferences. Responsibilities involve delivering tailored support, assisting with personal care, managing challenging behaviours, and promoting independence for children with diverse needs.

Job Responsibility:

Delivering tailored support to service users with learning disabilities and complex needs
Assisting with personal care, including changing pads and ensuring dignity and respect at all times
Communicating effectively with children who have sensory impairments
Implementing behavioural and stimulation management techniques
Applying de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviours
Promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for each child

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year's experience supporting children with learning disabilities and complex needs
Strong communication skills, with the ability to connect with non-verbal service users
Experience in behavioural and stimulation management
Knowledge and application of de-escalation techniques tailored for service users with learning disabilities
Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach
Drivers would be preferred
