Job Description:

We are on a Digital transformation journey at the iconic IKEA. To support the digital transformation, our network is core to ensuring a resilient service delivery used by our customers in Stores, warehouses and offices. We develop and support the Base infrastructure at our Distributed sites, at ~600 locations. We need a passionate and innovative engineer who enjoys working with the wired and Wireless Infrastructure of our network infrastructure. Job Responsibility:

  • Provide feature requests to vendors in a constructive and informative manner
  • collaborate with others and understand the complexity of IKEA’s business and the role of technology
  • develop, run, monitor and support assigned Product or Service
  • deliver a technology service through automation and self-service capabilities
  • maintain provisioning, life cycle management and operation of environments
  • participate in change activities to secure functionality and availability
  • deliver tests, performance analysis, configuration management and create functional/feature specifications
  • assist Product Teams with tasks requiring optimisation/modifications
  • apply good engineering practices within an agile/iterative approach
  • provide support and guidance to other engineers.

Requirements:

  • Background in working with Switching & Routing
  • knowledge/experience in large Networks/IT landscapes
  • experience in HPE/Aruba
  • experience working in enterprise data networks in large organisations
  • education in Engineering or proven equivalent experience
  • preferably experience in both development and operations of Network technologies
  • extensive experience in wired or wireless environments
  • willingness to actively acquire new knowledge and skills
  • self-driven with an ability to plan and follow up work tasks
  • good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • ability to communicate technical concepts and processes clearly at an appropriate level
  • ability to change direction as appropriate
  • open-minded, positive and inclusive personality.
