Job Description:

Growing public accounting firm seeking a top notch experienced Tax Accountant to join their team.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare federal and state corporation, partnership and individual tax returns
Prepare international informational tax returns
Assist with tax planning and tax consulting projects
Prepare tax research memo for clients with analysis and application of IRC sections and regulations
Represent client in front of the IRS, including assisting in IRS and state tax audits
Compile and analyze financial statements
Perform monthly write-up services
Write monthly articles regarding recent federal and state tax law changes
Perform other duties as necessary

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
Advanced degree is preferred
Actively working toward CPA certification, if not already obtained
2-3 years of tax accounting experience, preferably in public accounting with a solid understanding of federal & state income taxes
Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills
Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment
Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude
Highly motivated self starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
Dedicated to superior client service
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including spreadsheet programs (i.e. Excel)
