Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Tax Accountant for a 4-month contract-to-permanent opportunity. In this role, you will work closely with leadership and gain exposure to diverse business activities within the organization.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare, review, and manage federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations
Draft written correspondence for submission to the IRS and other tax authorities
Conduct research to identify and support strategic tax planning initiatives
Perform technical analysis on tax issues and prepare supporting memoranda
Analyze financial data to create tax projections and provide actionable recommendations
Continuously maintain knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and procedures, and assess their impact on clients
Assist clients with year-end accounting entries and resolve accounting concerns
Maintain client tax records and identify tax-saving strategies
Ensure federal, state, and local tax compliance for clients
Communicate directly with clients to review returns and address tax-related inquiries

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
CPA certification or Enrolled Agent (EA) license
3+ years of relevant work experience in tax and accounting
Strong knowledge of corporate accounting and federal tax law
Excellent communication skills and familiarity with accounting software
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment
