Job Description:

The Tax Analyst 2 is a developing professional role responsible for managing tax liabilities, compliance, financial reporting, planning, and controversy processes. The role involves contributing to tax planning, accounting, and filing, assisting with income tax requirements, and improving process efficiencies. The position requires a good understanding of industry practices and standards, with limited but direct impact on the business.

Job Responsibility:

Responsible for the overall management of the tax liabilities of Citi
Contributes to the planning, accounting, filing, and reporting of tax liability
Assists in determining and compiling information required for income tax filing
May participate in managing payments to tax authorities
Directs small to medium-sized Finance operational/administrative team(s)
Improves process efficiencies
Uses conceptual/practical grounding in applying policies to the business
Perform other duties and functions as assigned
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made

Requirements:

0-2 years of experience
Bachelors degree
Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area
Ability to make evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information
Ability to exchange information in a concise and logical way
Sensitivity to audience diversity

Nice to have:

1+ years of experience
Product knowledge within a short timeframe
Experience with FATCA & CRS advisory/rollout, Systems conversions/rollouts
Experience with tax information reporting processes
Knowledge of IRS regulations
Experience with W-8 and W-9 tax forms
