Job Description:

We are seeking a Tax and Accounting Senior Manager to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. The role involves overseeing accounting and tax functions, including managing a team of accounting professionals, handling financial transactions, and preparing financial accounting data for multiple entities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, variance analysis, and key financial metrics for multiple entities
  • Review and ensure accuracy of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Lead a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and training as needed
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of accounting for income taxes, including annual, quarterly, and forecasted tax rate computations
  • Oversee and review other accounting areas such as Accounts Payable, Payroll, Taxes, and Revenue operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and controls
  • Understand and manage complex partnership tax structures and transactions
  • Research tax issues and communicate implications of investment decisions to senior management
  • Coordinate compliance work, including the preparation and timely filing of tax returns for partnerships
  • Document and manage the process for quarterly estimates and filings

Requirements:

  • Must hold a bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Must have CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
  • Extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax and accounting management
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with complex data
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Familiarity with accounting software and applications
  • Proven track record in strategic planning and business development
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions under minimal supervision
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire team members
  • Commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends and best practices
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
