Job Description:

For our client we are looking for a Tax and Payroll SME who will be responsible for the German market. If you have experience in global mobility and would like to develop into a Subject Matter Expert, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Job Responsibility:

Steer global tax and payroll compliance (in relation to internationally mobile employees and work with global tax authorities and the appointed tax service provider
Manage payments of global tax return liabilities and collection of tax refunds due
Application of the tax policies for internationally mobile employees
Seek opportunities for simplicity and enhance existing processes
Support implementation, communication, and coordination of policy changes
Support the business and employees throughout their compliance journey, answering tax queries
Proactively manage vendor costs and identify improvements through vendor relationships and use of technology
Evaluate overall vendor performance

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (finance or law)
Experience in a similar role in either the Big 4 and/or inhouse experience in a Global Mobility team is preferred
Experience of global coordination of a German-led global mobility programme
Strong analytical, attention to detail and organizational skills
Fluent in German and English
The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
