Job Description:

We are in search of a Tax Manager - Public to join our team located in Camas, Washington. The primary function of this role is within the industry of tax and audit assurance. The selected candidate will work on-site but with a degree of flexibility. This position is an exciting opportunity for growth and development.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee and manage the processing of customer credit applications to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Uphold and maintain accurate customer credit records in accordance with industry standards
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally
  • Monitor customer accounts regularly and take necessary action based on account status
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations
  • Manage monthly end-close procedures for customer accounts
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement strategies for growth
  • Use specialized knowledge to stay ahead of competitors in the industry
  • Handle additional duties as necessary to support the growth and success of the team

Requirements:

  • Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Must have a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
  • Proven experience as a Tax Manager in a public setting
  • Strong knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns
  • Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems
  • Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships
  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills
  • Analytical skills with detail orientation
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and accounting software
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
  • Proficient in month end close processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations
  • Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements
  • Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements
  • Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints
