We are in search of a Tax Manager - Public to join our team located in Camas, Washington. The primary function of this role is within the industry of tax and audit assurance. The selected candidate will work on-site but with a degree of flexibility. This position is an exciting opportunity for growth and development.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee and manage the processing of customer credit applications to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Uphold and maintain accurate customer credit records in accordance with industry standards
Address and resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally
Monitor customer accounts regularly and take necessary action based on account status
Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations
Manage monthly end-close procedures for customer accounts
Collaborate with team members to identify and implement strategies for growth
Use specialized knowledge to stay ahead of competitors in the industry
Handle additional duties as necessary to support the growth and success of the team
Requirements:
Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Must have a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
Proven experience as a Tax Manager in a public setting
Strong knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns
Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems
Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships
Strong leadership and personnel management skills
Analytical skills with detail orientation
Proficient in the use of MS Office and accounting software
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
Proficient in month end close processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations
Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements
Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements
Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks
Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints
