Job Description:

Patricia Carlile with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager - Public in the professional services industry, located in WEST LINN, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties related to tax management and client engagement. This role is integral to the efficient operation of our team and the successful service of our clients.

Job Responsibility:

Maintain steady contact with clients throughout the business year, ensuring thorough knowledge of the client and all facets of the client's business
Prepare engagement letters and any subsequent modifications, answer any client questions to ensure a complete understanding of the nature and terms of an assignment
Review staff assignments to ensure they are appropriate and are being carried out properly and in the best sequence
Evaluate internal controls and work programs prepared by the staff, make necessary revisions, and discuss the work program and time budget with principal for approval
Follow the progress of the work during an engagement in relation to budgeted time and scheduled dates of completion
Anticipate problem areas and questions that might arise during the course of work and recommend solutions
Keep the principal informed of all important developments in the work, analyze major problems that occur, and recommend solutions
Resolve problems with the principal's approval and review the report drafted by the in-charge or senior accountant as the engagement nears completion
Use various accounting software systems such as ADP - Financial Services, CaseWare, CCH ProSystem Fx, and CCH Sales Tax to accomplish tasks
Conduct annual income tax provision, auditing, compliance, and entity formation tasks using your accounting functions skills

Requirements:

Must have proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required
Familiarity with CaseWare software
Proficient in CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax
Demonstrated capability in Accounting Functions
Experience in Annual Income Tax Provision is necessary
Auditing skills are a must
Must be capable of ensuring Compliance in all tax-related matters
Experience in Entity Formation is essential
