Job Description:

The role is based in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, and involves working in a CPA firm with multiple locations. The primary focus will be on managing tax functions for privately held clients.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns
Manage corporate tax returns in adherence to federal and state regulations
Coordinate the preparation and submission of federal tax returns
Implement strategies to manage federal taxes effectively
Work towards maintaining a balance between work duties and personal life
Monitor and ensure low chargeable hours
Facilitate growth within the team and firm
Maintain regular communication with clients and provide excellent customer service
Stay updated with tax laws and regulations to provide accurate advice to clients
Work towards improving the quality of life within the team and firm

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tax Manager in a public setting
Proficient in handling complex tax returns
Demonstrated experience in preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns
Comprehensive knowledge of federal tax returns and federal taxes
Proven ability to interpret and apply federal tax laws and regulations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient in the use of tax preparation and accounting software
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Tax Coach (CTC) designation is preferred
Must have a keen attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to mentor junior staff members
