Job Description:

We are actively seeking a Tax Manager to join our New York-based team within the insurance industry. This role is a critical position responsible for managing the full tax lifecycle, ensuring compliance, and working closely with external service providers to ensure accurate and timely tax filings.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee and manage the entire tax lifecycle, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and timely filings
Coordinate with external service providers to prepare and file all income tax returns
Analyze tax implications of corporate acquisitions and support strategic business initiatives
Provide guidance to business partners on various areas of taxation
Assist in the development and implementation of new processes to enhance tax provision efficiency
Establish and maintain effective tax controls for reporting and compliance
Develop strategies to accurately forecast future anticipated effective tax rates
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring tax implications are accurately reflected in financial statements

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MST preferred)
5+ years of tax experience, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry
Strong knowledge of corporate income tax, indirect taxes, and tax compliance
Experience coordinating with external tax service providers
Proficiency in tax planning, forecasting, and financial statement reporting
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex tax matters
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner with cross-functional teams
