Job Description:

We are offering a seasonal contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In this role, you will be working extensively with tax preparation, handling various schedules, and managing numerous returns. You will also be responsible for processing state and business taxes and renewals. The ability to utilize QuickBooks, spreadsheets, and QB Online is critical to succeed in this role.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and file tax returns using a variety of software systems, including CCH ProSystem Fx and Drake Tax Software
Handle diverse tax schedules such as Schedule C and Schedule Es, as well as 1120 Ss and business returns
Oversee the processing of a high volume of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Manage F& E for state and business tax, in addition to handling renewals
Utilize QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online for client management and tax preparation
Work with accounting software systems to maintain accurate records
Prepare complex tax returns and handle multi-state tax returns
Provide support for corporate income tax processes
Resolve any tax-related inquiries from clients in a timely manner

Requirements:

Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
Experience with tax software systems, such as CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, Drake Tax Software, etc
Ability to handle Complex Tax Return
Understanding of Corporate Income Tax
Experience in preparing Multi-state Tax Returns
Proficient with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online
