Job Description:

The Tax Staff Accountant is a key member of a group of talented Accounting and Tax professionals, supporting daily tax operations including analysis and review of federal, state, and local compliance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Job Responsibility:

Reviews and analyzes partner compensation and tax compliance items on a monthly and quarterly basis
Provides initial level of commentary to leaders of the Accounting team
Reconciles compensation and tax general ledger account balances on a monthly and quarterly basis
Assists with year-end tax file preparation, partner final distribution computations, and audit requests
Assist with periodic capital contributions, returns, reconciliations, and bank loan requests
Verification of employment and/or income requests
Assists with various tax requirements including ad hoc research projects
Manages sales and use tax filings
Manages personal property tax filings
Manages business tax filings
Manages other state compliance filings
Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Proficient in federal, state, and local tax compliance
Ability to review and analyze partner compensation
Experience in tax general ledger account reconciliation
Assist with year-end tax file preparation and audit requests
Capable of managing partner capital account maintenance
Assist with various tax requirements and ad hoc research projects
Knowledge of sales and use tax filings
Knowledge of personal property tax filings
Knowledge of business tax filings
Knowledge of other state compliance filings
