Job Description:

Are you a Level 2 or 3 qualified Teaching Assistant with experience in a primary classroom setting? Are you looking to explore new schools, expand your network, and take the next step in your career? We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support primary students in Chorley. This role offers responsibilities such as general classroom support, facilitating reading and writing sessions, overseeing break times, and assisting students with additional needs.

Job Responsibility:

Help prepare a lesson and tidy the classroom afterwards
Provide assistance with lesson plans
Support children across the curriculum
Give extra support to children with special needs
Help mark work
Report student progress
Help look after the children during school trips and activities
Look after children that are unwell
Attend meetings
Confidence in guiding individuals or small groups
Collaborate with children individually or in small groups to enhance their learning
Serve as a positive role model for both students and colleagues
Foster positive relationships with children and their families
Collaborate with fellow staff members, including specialists
Assist the class teacher in resource preparation and activity setup

Requirements:

Experience working with young people
Class management skills
Comfortable managing challenging behaviour
Able to engage with and motivate children
TA Qualified
