Job Description:

Teaching Assistants required at a forward-thinking SEN school near Horsham. Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? Job Responsibility:

Support students with varying special educational needs, including those with challenging behaviour
Assist with classroom activities, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment
Provide personal care when necessary, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene support
Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of the classroom teacher
Foster a nurturing and supportive atmosphere to encourage student engagement and participation
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver comprehensive care and education

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable but not essential
Ability to manage and positively respond to challenging behaviour
Willingness to provide personal care as needed
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential due to the school's location and potential off-site activities
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN
