Job Description:

This is where you make a difference in our patients’ safety. As a member of the Baxter Quality team, you will play an essential part in our mission of saving and sustaining lives. Quality is essential throughout the entire product lifecycle and works collaboratively with all areas of the organization. You will be responsible for performing microbiological testing, generating documentation, preparing sterilized media, and ensuring adherence to company and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Correct use of aseptic techniques and other microbiological techniques such as streak plates, dilution, pour plates, microbiological transfer
  • generate appropriate requisitions maintaining adequate inventory of materials and equipment
  • perform microbiological testing including pyrogen, water testing, compressed air systems, and environmental systems
  • operate different laboratory equipment (water bath, autoclave, balance, particle counter, biological safety cabinets) as per reference specifications, manuals, and safety rules required
  • generate laboratory documentation as per reference specification and/or SOPs
  • gather laboratory data in a comprehensive format for upper management information
  • prepare, sterilize and test all media needed for testing
  • release media as appropriate
  • perform any special testing and other duties related to responsibility area
  • observe all company and regulatory EHS requirements
  • observe data privacy policies at all times
  • document pyrogen test information of Finished Goods in POMS

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Microbiology/Biology/General Sciences that includes one microbiology course in the curriculum
  • two years of previous experience at Micro Lab assays
  • knowledge of GLP/GMP/FDA requirements
  • good Documentation Practices
  • knowledge on PC Microsoft – Office Software
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • willing to work as required per company needs
  • ability to work under pressure
