Job Description:

The role involves working as part of the Baxter Quality team to ensure product safety and compliance with regulatory standards. Key duties include performing microbiological testing, operating laboratory equipment, preparing and testing media, documenting results, and ensuring compliance with EHS guidelines. Job Responsibility:

  • Correct use of aseptic techniques and other microbiological techniques such as streak plates, dilution, pour plates, microbiological transfer
  • generate appropriate requisitions maintaining adequate inventory of materials and equipment
  • perform microbiological testing pyrogen, water testing, compressed air systems and environmental system, etc.
  • operate different laboratory equipment (water bath, autoclave, balance, particle counter, biological safety cabinets, etc.) as per reference specifications, manuals and safety rules required
  • generate laboratory documentation as per reference specifications and/or SOP’s
  • gather laboratory data in a comprehensive format for upper management information
  • prepare, sterilize, and test all media needed for testing
  • release media as appropriate
  • perform any special testing and other duties related to the responsibility area
  • observe all company and regulatory EHS requirements
  • document pyrogen test information of Finished Goods in POMS.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Microbiology/Biology/General Sciences that includes one microbiology course in the curriculum
  • two years of previous experience at Micro Lab. assays
  • knowledge of GLP/GMP/FDA requirements
  • good documentation practices
  • knowledge on PC Microsoft – Office Software
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • willing to work as required per company needs
  • ability to work under pressure.
