Job Description:

Job Responsibility:

Provide technical accounting guidance and ensure GAAP compliance
Assess and implement accounting needs for new initiatives and products
Maintain and enhance internal controls under the COSO framework
Prepare technical memos and update accounting policies
Oversee governance and process improvements for internal controls
Collaborate with auditors, regulators, and internal teams
Act as a subject matter expert in ASC 326 (CECL), ASC 842 (Leases), ASC 606 (Revenue), and more
Educate teams on accounting processes and best practices

Requirements:

3+ years of financial services accounting experience
CPA preferred but not required
Experience with complex analysis for large-scale, wide breadth accounting and internal control
Strong knowledge of ASC standards, including CECL (326), Leases (842), Loans (310), Mortgage Servicing Rights (860), Revenue Recognition (606), Compensation (715), Derivatives & Hedging (815), Investments (320/321)
Strong technical skills, including advanced Excel proficiency
Ability to simplify complex concepts and collaborate across teams
Strategic thinker with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
Strong communication and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
