Job Description:

We are recruiting for Grounds Maintenance Workers on behalf of our client for a temporary role in the Ryde area. This role involves mowing grass and maintaining nature strips, causeways, and other council-owned areas to keep public spaces clean, safe, and well-presented. This role is a temporary role working between Monday to Friday with weekends off. The rain and heat we have experienced this year has been optimal grass growing weather so there has been an increase in workload for the coming months. There is potential for extension based on performance. This is a hands-on, active role contributing to well-maintained public spaces in the local community.

Job Responsibility:

Operating mowing equipment to maintain grassed areas
Trimming edges and clearing debris from footpaths and roadways
Ensuring council-owned public spaces are kept tidy and well-maintained
Following safety procedures and council guidelines
Time keeping ability to keep to a set schedule
Work autonomously within the community

Requirements:

A valid driver’s license (essential)
Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or similar outdoor work
Ability to operate mowing and landscaping equipment safely
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
White Card (preferred)
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
