We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-oriented Tier 2 Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. Our company is dedicated to providing excellent technology solutions and support to our employees. You will play a key role in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues to ensure that our end-users have a seamless experience.
Job Responsibility:
Provide Tier 2 support for end-users, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues
Respond to and resolve service desk tickets escalated from Tier 1 support within defined SLAs
Perform system diagnostics and hardware replacements, as needed
Assist with software installations, upgrades, and configuration changes
Support remote and on-site users, including setting up workstations, peripherals, and network access
Document issues, resolutions, and processes to improve team knowledge base
Provide training and guidance to Tier 1 support technicians
Assist in the maintenance and deployment of systems, including imaging and user profile management
Collaborate with other IT teams to identify and resolve recurring technical issues
Requirements:
Proven experience in a Tier 2 or similar desktop support role
Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems
Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange
Proficiency in troubleshooting desktop hardware (laptops, desktops, peripherals)
Knowledge of common business applications (Microsoft Office Suite, VPN, remote access tools)
Familiarity with network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)
Experience with software installation, patch management, and system upgrades
Strong communication skills and ability to assist non-technical users
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
A+ certification (or equivalent) preferred
ITIL or other relevant certifications a plus
