Job Description:

The company is seeking a motivated and skilled mechanic to handle repairs and maintenance of our fleet of vans and trucks (both light and heavy vehicles). Most tasks are performed at our garage in Wetteren, though occasional urgent repairs or vehicle testing may require work on location.

Job Responsibility:

Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on vans and trucks
Diagnose technical issues and provide solutions for both mechanical and electronic systems
Prepare vehicles for inspections and ensure compliance with regulations
Conduct urgent repairs or vehicle testing on location when needed
Document work performed and report to the workshop manager
Manage the ordering of necessary parts independently

Requirements:

Education: Preferably an A2 diploma in Mechanics or equivalent experience
Experience: Relevant experience in vehicle mechanics
Strong diagnostic skills (using a diagnostic computer)
Initiative and the ability to work independently
Understanding of both Dutch and English (Dutch preferred)
License: Valid Category B driver’s license with access to a personal vehicle
Additional Skills: Welding knowledge is advantageous but not required
