Job Description:

Upper School Biology Teacher position in Beijing, China starting August 2025. Requires subject expertise, teaching qualification such as UK PGCE, and experience with the National Curriculum of England (preferred). Responsibilities include teaching biology to upper school students and involvement in extracurricular activities. Requirements:

Appropriate degree, with UK PGCE, or other teaching qualification
A minimum 2 years' of teaching experience
Working knowledge of the National Curriculum of England is highly desirable but not essential
Previous experience or knowledge of working with pupils for whom English is not their first language
Evidence of relevant and challenging continuing professional development Knowledge and experience
Be aware and up to date in all relevant safeguarding policies and practice
Knowledge and experience of how to use ICT effectively in promoting pupil learning
Recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities
Respect for all members of a school community, irrespective of position, gender, age and ethnic background
Passionate about teaching and a strong commitment to holistic education
The ability to inspire pupils through a genuine passion for learning and a desire to lead them towards outstanding academic outcomes
