Job Description:

Robert Half is partnering on an exciting opportunity for an experienced Vice President of Procurement to establish and lead a procurement function, driving efficiency, cost savings, and supplier performance. This role will be responsible for structuring procurement processes, managing contracts, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Additionally, this position will develop and mentor a high-performing team while collaborating with key stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives.

Job Responsibility:

Build, lead, and manage the procurement function, providing training and professional development for junior team members
Partner with internal teams to assess procurement needs and implement strategic sourcing initiatives
Develop and oversee supplier relationships, ensuring optimal pricing, quality, and service
Negotiate and manage contracts to minimize risk and maximize value
Establish and enforce procurement policies and best practices to maintain compliance with regulatory and ethical standards
Monitor vendor performance, ensuring adherence to contractual terms and business requirements
Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Track and report key procurement metrics to leadership

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
10+ years of procurement experience, preferably in sports, entertainment, or live events
CPSM or CPP certification preferred
Strong background in contract administration, budgeting, cost control, and risk management
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders and promote procurement’s strategic value
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a procurement team
Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in problem-solving

Nice to have:

CPSM or CPP certification
Experience in sports, entertainment, or live events
