Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced candidate to lead the Legal function for an esteemed client located in Navi Mumbai. This position will be reporting directly to the Managing Director. Key responsibilities include ensuring legal compliance, advising on strategic decisions, drafting contracts, managing stakeholder communication, addressing legal risks, and staying updated with regulatory changes. An LLB qualification and 15+ years of experience are required. Maximum annual CTC is INR 40 LPA.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure the company operates within the law
Provide counsel on legal issues
Safeguard the company’s interests and reputation
Deliver proactive legal opinions and expert solutions
Advise management on strategic and operating decisions
Conduct research into legal issues
Develop and implement scalable policies for business
Execute day-to-day legal activities
Lead legal discussions
Drive improvements in documentation
Plan for legal risks and strategies to mitigate them
Oversee execution of organizational deals
Draft and vet contracts, agreements, and legal documents
Develop networks with law firms and lawyers
Offer legal advisory services for business restructuring and compliance issues
Provide expert guidance on litigation matters
Keep abreast of regulatory developments
Offer industry-specific legal updates on a monthly basis.

Requirements:

Strong background in Legal within the Media or Entertainment sector
Leadership skills
Ability to drive strategic initiatives
Profound knowledge in commercial, company and intellectual property related laws
Sound knowledge of data privacy and cyber laws
Ability to adapt quickly to changes in the legal and regulatory environment
Extensive understanding of business concepts and strong commercial acumen
High level of service and client orientation
