Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and resilient Year 1 Primary Teacher for a long-term position from January to July. This role requires a strong, confident educator who can manage challenging behaviour and provide stability and guidance for a class that requires extra support. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact in a classroom where consistency and strong leadership are key to improving outcomes for the students.

Job Responsibility:

Full teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, and assessment
Work with a class that has a mix of needs, including challenging behaviour, requiring consistent behaviour management strategies
Implement creative and engaging lessons to inspire and support academic and personal development
Work closely with the SEN team and other staff to create individualised plans for pupils who need additional support
Build strong relationships with the children to create a safe, supportive learning environment

Requirements:

Proven experience in managing challenging behaviour in a primary setting
A confident, positive approach to behaviour management
The ability to foster resilience, cooperation, and mutual respect in the classroom
Experience working in Key Stage 1 (Year 1 preferred)
A passion for making a difference and helping all children achieve their potential
