Job Description:

A well-established primary school in Widnes (WA8) is looking for a committed Year 1 Teacher to join their team from April to December. The school prides itself on fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive. Job Responsibility:

Plan and Deliver Engaging Lessons - Create creative and interactive lessons tailored to Year 1 students
Build Confidence in Young Learners - Encourage curiosity and independence through effective teaching strategies
Monitor Student Progress - Assess and track development to ensure both academic and social growth
Collaborate with Staff - Work closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to maintain a structured and positive classroom environment
Engage with Parents - Establish strong relationships with parents and caregivers to support student learning.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required
Experience teaching Key Stage 1, particularly Year 1, is preferred
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Two references from the last five years, including one safeguarding reference.
