Job Description:

Randstad is offering a position as a Youth Support Worker to work with vulnerable young individuals aged 11-25, empowering them in their personal growth and development within a supportive and inclusive environment. The role includes fostering trust, providing emotional support, assisting in care plans, promoting educational attainment, and collaborating with other professionals to ensure holistic care.

Job Responsibility:

Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
Offering emotional support and counselling
Assisting in individual care plans
Encouraging educational attainment
Facilitating workshops and group activities
Collaborating with team members and external agencies
Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records

Requirements:

Previous experience working in a care setting with young people
Experience in a secure setting is beneficial, but not essential
Knowledge of cognitive behavioural approaches, attachment theory and child protection policy
Experience advocating on behalf of a young person
Registration under the PVG scheme
Full driving licence
Obtained SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent

Nice to have:

Experience in a secure setting
Familiarity with therapeutic approaches
